Location: Based in Midland, Texas, covering the Permian Basin and surrounding regions
SUMMARY: The CDL Chemical Delivery Driver is tasked with the safe and compliant delivery of chemicals to producing oilfield locations in accordance with Piranha Scientific HSE requirements and FMCSA regulations.
JOB DUTIES:
- Maintain vehicle and cargo in compliance with DOT regulations and Piranha Scientific requirements
- Comply with all regulatory requirements associated with DOT HAZMAT 49 CFR to utilize accurate shipping documents and placards
- Comply with all FMCSA requirements associated with cargo securement
- Utilize PPE in accordance with the Piranha Scientific HSE Policy
- Safely deliver (pump-off) product(s) into customer tanks at various field locations
- Assess storage tanks and containment for regulatory compliance
- Set-up storage tanks and containments with proper labels, and location ID and coordinates
- Properly maintain equipment (e.g. preventative maintenance and cleaning after use daily)
- Inform direct supervisor of any concerns in a timely and detailed manner
- Communicate received customer orders to direct supervisor
- Communicate activities to Supervisor and Management
- Track inventory usage and component sales through written logs
- Document and submit records for chemical program treatment, well failures, and operational costs
- Ensure proper cleanliness and operation of assigned vehicle, tools, and other equipment used in Oil & Gas
- Track and record hours of driving and rest time to maintain compliance with FMCSA Hours of Service Rules
- Always work within the Company guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Maintain PPE in accordance with Company policy
- Other duties assigned as needed
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Sufficiently read and speak the English language as outlined by FMCSA
- CDL Class A with HAZMAT and TANKER Endorsements
- Forklift certification preferred
- Minimum one-year commercial driving experience
- Compliant with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements
- Must have a verifiable good driving record as outlined by DOT for the past three years
- Provide a Medical Examiner’s Certificate, to meet the CDL requirement regulated by FMCSA
- Possess basic computer skills including but not limited to typing, using a mouse, proficiently send and receive emails, navigate a web browser, and follow online instruction
- Interact professionally with customers and field personnel, promptly addressing customer needs
- Adhere to the Piranha Scientific Drug and Alcohol policy and agree to submit to random drug testing as a condition of employment
- Adhere to pre-employment drug-testing as a condition of employment in accordance with the CDL requirement regulated by FMCSA
- Safely operate and drive company vehicle to various field locations in adherence to Piranha’s Motor Vehicle policy
- Sustain prolonged exposure to the outdoor environment and hazardous conditions
- Proficient completion of Piranha Scientific Training/Safety Program, and ability to work in a safe manner, according to the program and customer requirements
- Physically able and willing to safely lift a minimum of 80 pounds, climb, crouch, bend
- Safely maneuver 55-gallon drums weighing up to 600 pounds with the use of a drum dolly
- Willingly participate in physical labor both independently and collaboratively
- OSHA, Site Specific training
- PEC / Safeland certificate preferred
